MobSafety and ContentWatch Enter Partnership to Protect Children From Cyber Threats
05/03/2013
MobSafety announced today that the company has entered a partnership with ContentWatch to protect children from falling victim to online threats such as cyber bullying.
The announcement comes at a time of great relevancy as society is struggling to understand the implications of children's unrestricted online social activity. The recent tragic losses of Amanda Todd and Rehtaeh Parsons are dire reminders for how vulnerable children and young teenagers are to online threats. A shocking 47 per cent of Canadian parents have reported having a child who has been a victim of bullying*.
ContentWatch and MobSafety hope that parents seriously consider their newly released social monitoring web application, NetNanny Social, to keep an eye on their children's activities on social networks such as FaceBook and Twitter. The product allows parents to find out what social networks their children are actively participating on and enables parents to monitor their activities, friends, and photos. The built-in sentiment detector scans the children's accounts frequently for harmful language and suspicious conduct. Parents will receive immediate notifications to alarm them if their children appear to be exposed to those threats.
“We understand that parents are balancing a fine line of wanting to monitor their children's online activities to protect them but also waning to honour their privacy,” explains MobSafety Founder & CEO Nick Murray. “We truly believe that parents will be pleased with the friendly user experience of NetNanny Social. It's simply a must have tool in every family household.”
Additional information about the product can be found on the NetNanny website. Click here to learn more.

Introducing MobSafety Mobile Device Management
10/21/2012
Over the past months, we have been developing a new mobile security product that combines core technologies already offered by our suite of MobSafety Security Apps. We're now ready to let the cat out of the bag and would like to introduce you to MobSafety Enterprise.
It's a mobile device management solution that gives companies the ability to secure their mobile devices, whether they are corporate property or employee-owned devices (BYOD). Here is what you can expect from the finished product:
We aren't out there to rob your business, so we have decided to waive the setup fee completely. On top of that, we know that time is of essence, so we guarantee no waiting times and instant account setup. To tip it off, we encourage businesses small and large to secure their data and assets, which is why there is also no device minimum in order to be eligible for MobSafety Enterprise.
Here are a few more reasons why you want to five MobSafety Enterprise a try:
Manage your devices - We've all heard of 'Find my iPhone' and can probably all agree that it's a great service. Downfall is that it only works for those employees with iPhones. Most businesses need to be all-inclusive and require, therefore, a solution that is completely device agnostic and allows for a seamless setup, deployment, and management flow.
Protect your devices - How horrible is that feeling of losing a phone or tablet? Especially if you're using the device for personal and corporate matters since there's a good chance that it houses some confidential information. The stats are staggering: 5% of smartphones go missing each year! With over 1 billion smartphones, that's 50 MILLION devices growing legs and running off every year. In order to ensure optimal security at the workplace, businesses should have a solution in place that allow them to remotely find, lock, and if necessary, erase the device and then provision a new one, all within a matter of minutes.
Try it free: As we're currently allowing a few select companies to try out MobSafety Enterprise, it's still completely free right now! That means you can kick the tires, add as many devices as you like, and (please) let us know what you think!
